The adonidia palm (scientific name Adonidia merrillii, formerly Veitchia merrillii) is also called the Christmas palm because the mature plant grows large clusters of bright red berries each year during the holiday season. They are grown and sold as single or triple formations that are suited to decorate well-lit interiorscapes.
